The Solinst Peristaltic Pump has been specially designed for field use and is ideal for vapour sampling or water sampling from shallow wells and surface water. It can be used for vacuum pumping and for pressure delivery of liquids or gases. The peristaltic pump is compact, lightweight and water resistant making ideal for use in the field. Its robust housing includes a handle and one easy to access control for ease of use and maintenance. The pump measures 13â?? x 5â?? x 6.5â?? (33cm x 13cm x 17cm) and weighs only 8lbs (3.6kg). How the peristaltic pump works is through rotating rollers that depress the silicone tubing, which creates a vacuum that displaces any fluid or gas in the chosen direction. Itâ??s effective up to the suction lift limit, which varies with elevation, and can be a as much as 33ft (10m at sea level). Sampling RatesThe Model 410 Peristaltic Pump can be fitted with 2 different sizes of silicone pump-head tubing and includes variable pumping rates. The standard 5/8â?? OD (16mm) tubing delivers 120ml/min up to 3.5L/min. The optional 3/8â?? OD (10mm) tubing adaptor kit offers a sample rate as low as 40ml/min up to 900ml/min. This is ideal for low flow sampling or the filling of small sample bottles. The Peristaltic Pump can be used in conjunction with the Solinst Drive-Point Profiler (Model 660) to create a reverse action that is perfect for back flushing.
